The same principle applies directly to startups.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In practice, every startup operates as a loop:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Launch \u2192 Learn \u2192 Iterate \u2192 Scale<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This mirrors the engineering framework:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Input \u2192 System \u2192 Output \u2192 Feedback \u2192 Adjustment<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This is not abstract theory. It is how some of the most influential founders operate.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>It is perhaps no coincidence that many of the world\u2019s most consequential companies emerged not from financial centers, but from ecosystems built around engineering culture.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But what if you don\u2019t come from an engineering background?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You do not need an engineering degree to think like an engineer. What you need is clarity, curiosity, and the discipline to model systems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Start by observing your work \u2014 or your startup \u2014 as a machine:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>What are the inputs? (time, capital, energy)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>What are the outputs? (revenue, impact, retention)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>What feedback loops exist? (customer response, churn, engagement)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>If you spend most of your time building, allocate a portion of it to learning from those who have built before you. Study their thinking, their frameworks, and the principles they relied on. Building a company is not merely a commercial exercise \u2014 it is a deeply philosophical one.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>One practical way to internalise this mindset is to start documenting your decisions.
